First I have heard of it. Hope it does not flare back up again!
Chris People will be flying over it several times a day and ranch hands and volunteers will be driving the roads pulling spray machines loaded with water while looking for smoke of any kind.
Sit on your horse on top of a ridge, look out across the country and tell me there is no God.

I hope it's contained soon it's awful early for fire season to get started. Don't feel bad it wasn't that long ago we had the " lone tree complex fire " that took out nearly 500,000 acres and didn't see anything on any news station either .
I can't remember how many ranch families were burned out during that one .

Yeah it was 106 degrees here today so it is not starting out good as we have had some rain to grow some weeds. They will dry out in a hurry in temperatures like that and be lots of fuel for fires.

"State plans burn ban starting May 1, citing travel restrictions for firefighters The department believes Alaska will lack firefighters and equipment from the Lower 48 this year because of travel restrictions and quarantine requirements. In addition, the department said, firefighters could contract and spread COVID-19 when responding to wildfires." Hate to see a fire start here. Might melt all the snow and start a flood? The fires could get so hot the snow could steam cook us to death.
