Hey nut , those are definitely half-frees go easy on them if you've not eaten them before , as some people get sick from em and some don't ! NEVER eat em if that top is smooth and not veiny !

Thanks for the heads up guys. I am very new to gathering mushrooms, in fact this was the first time I actually collected some. I did some research and I believe they are half-frees. Although the stem does go all the way to the top on most of the caps like a verpas, there is no fibrous material in the stems, they are all hollow.
Either way I won’t be eating them.
Eh...wot?

Lugnut, that six shot in your picture is a little aggressive for mushrooms. Try 10 or 11. You don't need long range, mushrooms are easy to sneak up on!
