That he did. For a man who served in the Army, worked the railroad, worked as a cowboy, worked railroad and steel mill and grew up through the depression, he had amazing taste.
Was quite the artist also. Sand paintings, model railroads and model shipbuilding.
Along with building houses and being one heck of a rock hound.

Love those old mule deer hunting pics. Wish I would have had a chance to hunt just once back in that era. Dad worked on a ranch up in Northern Colorado a couple of summers in the mid 60s. He said they pickup up lots of huge elk and muley sheds off the hay meadows and just through them in the brush so they could mow the hay.

He served before and during. Stateside as a small arms instructor.

The hitches may have been homemade, he welded a lot of stuff.
