A few years ago I purchased some muskrat speed stands from Minnesota Trapline Supplies. They are a flat piece of U shaped metal piece that slides on a fiberglass pole and supports a 1.5 coil spring trap for muskrats. Does anyone know where I can order some more of those? I prefer them over the heavy wire Sleepy Creek trap supports because they are so much easier to adjust the height on the pole after the pole is set in a hard bottom.

You could check out hagz brackets. Not sure on the speed stands but I think the hagz would work.

I made something like that for my 160s. I put a pan on the trap and set It flat and about a 1/2" under water. The rats climb up on that trap and It's lights out.

You are welcome.I can't believe I had never seen these. They look very interesting. On the 2 or 4 trap models do you do anything to hold them in place to keep them from sliding down?

With the weight of the trap and the weight of the device It locks up on the stake. But It does leave the trap sitting at a downward angle to the stake. That may or mat not be a problem but I like my trap sitting at right angle to the stake. So to remedy this you just have to angle the stake so the trap sits flat.
They work but I like the Hagz bracket better.

I put the stake in vertically but have the trap stands pre-bent so the trap sits level. The hole in the trapstand is just barely large enough for the 3/8" trap stand to slide on. The weight of the trap binds the stand on the trap at the level you set. I put one of the bait spring clips underneath the chain ring to help prevent the trap from sliding off the bottom of the pole in deep water where it might be hard to find it!!!!

ah just go with the origininal trap clips and bait clips. I have everything in stock, both for 3/8" and half inch poles. All of my trap clip products ARE covered under the same patent. its all in the wording.
me and Brent (speed stand guy) were trapping the same piece of property in ND back in 09 on our maiden voyage with our products. I didn't know it until I ran inti him later at the Mn convention that year. he seen here I was trapping but I didn't see him.
