Funny you say that Chris, I did drop it into 20" of water, and I could barely see it wanting to slip into the deep, no bubbles were coming up, and I grabbed it. Never hurt it a bit either.

Ya ever use the tail to touch up yer knife? Works really well, especially when your skinning in the field. Couple swipes on the tail puts it right back.

Lee I use the tail all the time...works well. My problem is I can’t keep a knife sharp for very long...I’m a hack.

I haven't used the tail yet, but I've heard about it.
