I don't believe I have ever seen a spring when there were as many bunnies as there is right now. I can look out the window and see 4-5 chasing each other around or up & down the road. Stand outside and they will come almost to your feet. Had one on the deck hopping around about 0600 today.

I saw a similar thing in 98. We have had highs and lows since then, but never as many as in 98.

They're on the downslide here, last couple years my kids were taking shots at them with their bows at the end of the driveway. Last one I saw was a couple weeks ago, then I saw a lynx down the road.

Rumors of my assimilation have been greatly exaggerated.

I think I'll get a bow and just shoot the lynx as they walk through the yard smile

grin There are snowshoe hares here , don't see them as often as I'd like, though.

I used to buy domestic rabbit meat years ago from people who raised them in Idaho . Wonderful meat . I miss that.

I ran a 100 acre field of beans one time and the rabbits were biblical. Same field different year, the Woodcock were everywhere. A lil mystery still in the world
