HOLY COW 3 1/2 inches...man you must be trapping some very soft soil...i make mine 2 inches but i weld a nut outside in the middle like you drilled your hole...and i also make them out of schedule 40 black iron water pipe...and at 2 inches in my soil i can pull them without a puller........

i can set them in plowed fields and mud banks and they hold

help me out I bought some of these and everytime I drove them in they came right back out with my driver. so I made the shaft much smaller drove it in then twisted it around a bunch and still came right back out with mud on it, what am I doing wrong, I even hammered one end flat to keep from having mud get into it but still just keeps comeing back out of whole?

Saddle horse 98 your tip on your driver sounds like its to big you will need to grind it down.

the angle makes them turn flat so they wont pull out
they can br pulled straight up with a lot of work
critters pull to the side and nothing can pull them out that way
i thought i would test it in frozen ground so i hooked my trap over the ball hitch on my f350 4x4 and pulled the jaws out of the trap
had to go back after the though to pull it up
yes i bent the jaws back and fixed it now going to weld beads on the ends that was the weak spot in this system

When I had trouble with the anchor sticking to the driver, a continous bead of weld, where the anchor meets the drivers shoulder, cured mine.
