Called myself looking through the archives, but how do you set a bobcat toilet? With minimal disturbance? Most of the time I find them on sandy roads with a depression dug out and scat in and around the depression. Do you use a blind set close to it? Maybe a urine post set with something not that obtrusive for the urine? And not really how to set but where?

Most any set on or right around that toilet will work. I'd stack the turds up and add some urine to them with a flat set right in front and wait for one to return.

It really depends on where the toilet is... in the middle of a sandy road where I live wouldn’t be a good place to set. Even on a drag a spot lighter might shine it and get away with your cat...However, if you are certain Johnny thief wouldn’t be a factor... I would design a set so that the cat has to walk through a heavily blocked trap to get to the toilet. I often set two traps at these locations and fence and block them heavily so the cat is “forced to go through the trap beds.” I fence the trail heavily and set one trap on the way in to the set and one trap on the way out of the set. This gives me eight chances to pinch the cat... And a double catch is possible...And, of course use urine and gland lure if not fresh cat droppings harvested from your last cat... call lures, bait, and flagging may just invite more non target animals into your set and are probably not necessary in this location.

I like travel ways myself. Reading sign and identifying travel is easy in some terrains and tricky in other areas. I'm not saying I wont set a toilet but if its in middle of a road and I find a place they been coming thru a thicket to get there (or better yet around one) I'd be tempted to pick them off there.

If there really is that much sign there (multiple users) setting in all directions not only hedges your bet be lands you doubles
