I have a 3 lb sledge I use to drive all my super stakes and other stakes with the driver. It will drive rebar in frozen ground quite well too. I got a heavy duty cold rolled superstake driver from MN trapline products that has held up really well. I use a 3' long heavy crowbar/prybar to pull them when I'm pulling sets. If ground is soft I lay down a section of treated 2x6 board to put under bend of my pry bar. Longer prybars work well, it's all about leverage. Got both tools at local hardware store for not much $ for either one, have used these for several seasons and I mostly trap December and January when Nebraska ground is frozen rock solid too. Jim

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

My buddy uses a crow bar and really struggles to get 24" stakes out of the ground. After the initial pry with the bar your out of luck. He carries 2 chunks of 2X4s uses one on edge to get another grip Then turns It On end and sits It on the other piece of 2X4 to get another grip . What a freaking waste of time. I gave him my vice grips and told him to just re position the grips on the stake as he pry's them out. He still doesn't get it. lol In most cases I can just hit the stake to break it free and then use my vice grips to spin the stake out of the ground.

I always wondered how that F&T puller performs, the one with the rounded bend near the puller head. anyone use those on wolf fangs or other earth anchors? Jim

Jim I trapped with another guy for a while last year and he used a similar one. I’m getting one. Easier on the back. However, his wasn't the Freedom Brand but had somebody make one for him.

Here's what I use for both earth anchors or re bar. I got one for $35.00 I cut a slot In the base so I could get directly over the stake end, I also welded the base to the shaft so It didn't keep coming apart. https://www.ebay.com/i/133373204225?chn=ps
