Where did you get your plans? I got the plans from Noah’s marine. Not much to the plans. It’s really not that hard of a project. I’m actually not much of a wood worker myself, it just interested me. Thanks for all the comments, it’s exciting to see the canoe take shape after each piece is glued in. Most plans call for stapling the strips on. Stapling them on allows you to move faster, but I knew I would like all the leftover staple holes in the finished product, so instead I’m just using wood glue. How do you Seal that ?

Wow that is a beauty! At a lodge in Ontario that I once fished, they use 18’ cedar strip boats. They are fun to fish from.
We have a salesman’s sample cedar strip canoe hanging in our living room.
