I've dug roots my whole life, but while I was out scouting a new spot the other day I ran across this. The root and stalk appear to be Cohosh but the leaves are bigger than my hand on the mature plants. Lots of Cohosh growing in the area and it all is producing the stem in the middle with the berries right now, not this stuff. No sign of a flower, berries....nothing. Probably a common plant, just don't reckon I've ever seen it. Thanks for the help!

God put me at the top of the food chain....I just put a trap on the other end!

It looks like the thimble berry plants we have growing up here.
