I do not think there will much China stuff will left in the country for how it is going. For all that broke out and also the trade with them. I so far have not had problems with the cable I use for snares,I forgot where it is made.

Thank you SNIPER for you kind reply.
I ordered another roll/spool from another sponsor.
Hopefully, should be better next time around. (Not Chinese crap) Good move,Bill. With cable restraints, coyotes are alive and fighting the cable much longer than with snares, even on a 24 hr check, they can chew off a lot of cable. It pays to use the best.Good luck.

I do read here an awful lot, and reading the older books that were recommended to me from others here. I look at it as cheap insurance, and respecting the quarry pursued. Use the best tools you can. Will save you many heart aches later. Thank you Sir for you comment. Regards, Bill

Should have bought 1X19 for those CRs. I am new at this game, so I am following the guide lines from all of my reading materials. I'm sure as the years go by I may make changes to my style and equipment. Even while reading. I see many snaremen and trappers have their own way of doing things, and contradict each other. What it that old statement... Ask 10 trappers a question, get 10 different answers! Thank you for your comment. Regards, Bill

I have used cast cable in the past, its really not hard to bend it back into shape for the loop of the snare. It has a "memory" of how it was wrapped on the spool, all you have to do is bend it back against that "memory" for the short section that forms the loop.
I wish you were closer Bill, I'd show you how its done, but really it's no more difficult than running it through your fingers a time or two. Just make your snare and look at it from the side (not the way the animal enters it) so you can see how it hangs then simply bend it gently, or more accurately, curve it, the way you want it to go. Honestly after a few it will literly only take you a few seconds to get the loops hanging nice and straight. I have done it thousands of times. I sincerely appreciate you offer and advice. I will try to "Fix" some of the CR/Snares already made by using your suggestions and advice. But going forward... I will use the new cable when it arrives for making the CR/Snares. The rest of the original cable I have left, will be used for making "extensions", or "Anchor Cable". Thank you for you kind assistance and advice. Regards, Bill
