Looking to buy some but with at least one supplier the Bridgers are about 25% more. Is there a difference?
Will be used for coon. Please keep in mind our coon aren’t Iowa. lol

I just bought some. Very pleased with them. They worth the extra money. Chain has 2 swivels. The safety is much better. The springs much better and don't slip. Just a awesome trap imo.
And very reasonably priced

I'm cheap and I would buy the Duke 160s.

I have the Duke 160s and the are a very good trap. I don't have any Bridger 160s, but I do have their 155s. I don't like the 155s because the eyes on the springs are too small and make setting them a pain. The safety is not as good on them as the Duke 160s safety. The Bridgers are not worth the extra money for me.I'm with the Beav on that.

As said the eyes on the Bridgers are small. I grind the spots that stick out, where the cut offs are welded, smooth this makes them easier to set and I believe faster to strike. That said I own both and have never had a coon move once caught in the bridger. My dukes don't kill as fast.

I have a pile of Dukes that are going on 10 years old - still kill coon just fine. I have Bridger 120s, 220s, 280s, and 330s and they work well too. Out of the entire Bridger bodygrip line I like the 280s the best. Not a fan of the 120s.

I’d take the dukes any day. Mind you I only use the 160’s as mink and rat traps. I use belisles for coons. Wasn’t impressed with the bridgers... Trigger SUCKED.

Like turtle, and Gen, I don’t like Bridger small spring eyes.
So, use Dukes or vics and sometimes weld kill bars on the jaws.

I prefer Bridgers, but can't use their 330 in Illinois (they increased the sprea).

You know, there is a video on you-tube that discusses the Bridger versus duke body grips. He compares 330s to each other. I believe the editor is called meat trapper. He is Bridger all the way

I have both brands in various sizes of body grips, and it seems like I have to spend less time with the dogs on the dukes. The bridgers are super sloppy, and it takes quit a bit of filing on the dog. For that reason i Like the dukes better.

The Duke 160s are plenty good for coon. Didn't care for the springs and safties on the Bridger.

I guess to each there own. I've never filed a dog on a Bridger connibear in any size. And never had one spring off without something in it. But someone else could've with a different batch could be quit the opposite in how they were manufactured. Guess I'm lucky in that regard.

Take some of that back. My 150s and 110s have in water. But still very few and far between. But 220s and 160s always got something in there when they do. I must confess though I'm pretty impartial with bridgers. I love there 2s and 3s leg holds. Once I used them it was all bridgers after that. Lol.

got a lot of coon in duke 160s, gets em right behind the ears every time. Funny how a big boar thinks it can squeeze through a little 160 in a grassy trail but they do try and pay.
duke 160s are inexpensive, work well. I have some of both bridgers and Duke. Bridgers I can tell in the dark when I get one to set they are a little harder to set, the smaller spring eyes, don't move down the bends in jaws very well. Dukes are super easy to set but they both work well for me.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
