Almost too pretty to eat.
I caught one in a pond a couple of years ago that was all of 14". I let it go to reproduce. Thank you Sir...you think like I do. We caught some 16" in a natural lake this winter. It was a pay to play lake at $35/per person

Nice fish JP!
We got no keeper size fish here of any kind. Barely any wildlife at all really. Lol either you don’t want anyone coming for your honey holes or your area just sucks lol.

Nice fish , this isn't me or my fish , but I fish the same water , my PB was 17 3/4 " this one is 20 " 3.5 lbs. Holy moly! JP if you ever visit the southern tier of the lower 48, you may want to try and fish the lakes in Northwest Mississippi. I've heard they produce some nice fish. Nice!

Nice ones Eric! Those perch look like they’ve been sitting in the sun all day lol.
They lose their color fast for some reason. I throw em in a 5 gallon bucket with water.

JP if you ever visit the southern tier of the lower 48, you may want to try and fish the lakes in Northwest Mississippi. I've heard they produce some nice fish. I live in the middle of them. On Enid lake, the one nearest me they have to be 12" to even keep. The serious fishermen often have no trouble meeting their limit of 20 per person.

caught a 16" one in a small creek with a beetle spin wading around. It might have come from a pond that the dam broke during a flood. Maybe. There were some pretty decent longnose gar in the deep pools in that creek too. 3-4' long

Every May or June I catch at least one over 15” at Pymatuning in Pa. The biggest we’ve ever had in the boat was 17.5 inches. Here’s a pic of a 20” fish, 4.5 pounds that the Fish Commission had in a survey net two years ago. I’m fishing there tomorrow. All I can say to that one is WOW!

It was tough to walk away from the lake this morning, The crappie were slamming my Storm Wildeye. I really like those lures. I think I've caught just about every specie the east coast has to offer on them except carp or catty. But, duty called. We had to have the job finished and be gone (back to PA) by this afternoon. I'll be back.
Eh...wot?
