"KastKing Sharky" is a hokey name, I thought. Must be second-rate junk, right? But for grins I bought one when it was $49 on Amazon. And I was surprised--it's a good quality reel, equivalent to one of the mid-priced Shimanos. Some Chinese products are pretty good stuff these days. Smoother (more bearings) than the President, and has a stronger drag. The President is probably made in China or Malaysia too. Even Shimano reels aren't made in Japan anymore. Here's another one from the same company, if you're looking for a bargain ultralight reel: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079PSW9Y6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I have no idea how well these KastKing reels hold up, but I'm a fan of well-made stuff, and these impress me for the dollar. X 4 I upgraded all my tackle a few years ago and these are the reels I settled on after much research. They are holding up good after a couple of seasons of hard use. They have very good drags.
Eh...wot?

If you have never heard of Piscifun give them a look. Been using them after a recommendation from a guide friend. He has been using them for about 5 years now. The quality is above the price point for which they sell the reels IMO. This is my second year with them in the boat and I am very happy with. T.B. ?

I know that he uses them and that is who my buddy got his info from. My buddy also uses the Elliot rods almost exclusively as well. Great rods but I build my own. My buddy and T.B. are great friends Love the guys videos
