That must have been a great undertaking to move all the equipment from West Virginia down there, get it set up and start turning out traps. I for one plan on buying some just because of the effort he made to keep an American trap company going.

ky_coyote_hunter trapper Joined: Feb 2016 Kentucky	I have to say the Sleepy Creek 1.75 coil, regular jaw, round pan is the best "affordable option" I've found for a multi species trap. Cut off the swing set chain, weld a 9/16 heavy duty split ring washer on the base strap, install quality American made #3 chain, and J.C. Conner rod swivels. Install a Bob Custer heavy duty Top Dog, or weld a nail on the stock dog to beef it up...Then bend up, or bubble weld the jaw tips. Still much cheaper than a MB, and plenty tough, plus you can easily adjust pan tension....One last thing, the S.C. 1.75 is really a #2 coil. Congrats Brian McKee...Long live S.C.! Member - FTA

The No 3's do need the bases plated and the jaws bubble welded but once you do that, you big pan guys will see where it is at.
