That's a bobby dazzler. What lake you on Lug? Lake Hopatcong in northern NJ. I am staying at a customers island vacation home while I work on the neighbors house. The good fishing right outside the door, the lake is literally 20 feet from the front door, is a great perk of the job. Getting ready to set up staging this morning. I renailed the siding in the other side last fall.
Eh...wot?

That's a very nice sized, very ugly bass Doug. Its head looks misshapen. Congratulations.
Keith Thanks Keith. Maybe it got whacked in the head by a boat at some point in its life. The boat traffic here in the summer months is almost unbelievable.

LOL The walleye spawn is over, it may be too late in the season for me to catch any of those big ones. I do all my fishing off the island here. But I’ll do my best!

Lug,
Make sure you make a few casts in Sparta lake while you're there.
Lunker Largemouths are in there.

w Thanks for the tip walleyed. I looked it up, Sparta Lake is only 7 1/2 miles from here. I may have to give that a try.

I love catching big fish, letting them go, and harvesting in the slot.
Nice catches!
