Has anyone tried the cookie cutter? Do any of you like it? And finally will it stand up to the wear and tear of the trapline

The cookie cutters may work in an area with good deep soil, but where I live it is very rocky and the cookie cutters don't work well. At least that is my finding with them. Once you get the hang of cutting a trap bed with a hammer you will find little use for a cookie cutter.

I have a cookie cutter. Won't hold up in frozen or hard ground and there's better faster ways to make a good bed.

Yea good dirt is all but non existent here in arkansas. 5 gallons of earth in a bucket will only sift out about 3 gallons of dirt with no rock in it.

Find or make a spade that is the same shape as your trap jaws. Once you’ve started digging try not to over dig the diameter of the hole , you want it just big enough to get your trap lower than the surface of the ground. Funnel or cone shaped on the sides works best for me that way I can sort of wedge the trap down in the hole . No need for pounding on the sides to lock the trap in this way , once you learn to cut the bed to fit your trap it’s a fast and firm way to bed your trap .
