The only thing better than a ribeye is a bone-in ribeye.

Try a chuck eye steak. Cheaper than a ribeye, but just as good 😎

Anyone ever buy Omaha steak? Any thoughts? They advertise the heck out of it on Glen Beck.

As for cuts, I prefer it as prime rib. Only had two bad prime ribs in my life so far. One at my cousin's wedding, the cater apparently didn't believe in seasoning. His new Greek in-laws were not happy.

Second was at outback and it was grey! Sent back immediately

I have not but I assume they would be very similar to Dodge City Steaks which are delicious. You will pay a premium but what you should expect is a high quality cut that is dry aged to the point of being a master piece.

Ironically, you can easily educate yourself on meat selection- Identify well marbled steaks and almost any retailer, and dry age them from home. Your refrigerator is basically set up perfectly to dry age your beef.

Pro-tip. If you ever see a nice looking steak and it is getting some blue color around the fat and is marked down to half price- buy them all. The dry aging has been done and the public at large has no idea and are scared of it. You pay less for a lot higher quality cut.

I buy most of my meat in bulk from the local meat locker that supplies all the restaurants around here.I know the owner very well and he gives me a heads up when stuff I want is going to drop in price.I get my sausage pork there,,Ribeyes by the case, bacon by the case,,stuff like that.Whole pork loins by the case for $ 1.49 a pound.

I like rib eye off the farm aged 21 days dont trim the fat . It dosnt matter if its off a old cow or a fattened 4H steer its GOOD . we generaly have the back cut up into steaks eaven on a old hamburger cow . I wont spend money on a fillet unless its part of a porterhouse
