The wife found a finch bag at ACE Hardware. It is a mesh bag full of small seeds. Has strings to tie the bag on a tree limb. We are on our second one in about two months. Only birds that visit are goldfinches. Cardinals perch close by but never land on the bag. Maybe they do not have the right type of feet to hold on.

I thought the squirrels would destroy the bag within a day. See squirrels playing in the dogwood tree where it is hanging from a low limb, but a squirrel has never gone to it.

If you have goldfinches, get one of these and enjoy the view.

Those bags have thistle seed in them. I used to have them and then my grandson and I made a sunflower seed feeder. The gold finch quite eating the thistle and hang out at the sunflower feeder. I never saw a finch on the thistle after I put sunflower seed out.

I feed thistle seed in a clear tube feeder and they hammer it. We have sunflower seed as well.

Is that the same bags that's under Nancy Pelosi's eyes?
