History is great, but most minorities alive today have seen nothing but government preferential treatment and racist policies by the government for them. Why the hate?

They are seeking truth and reconciliation and restorative justice to right the historical wrongs.This started in South africa and has spread to other countries.
The double standards in play right now are a precursor to further entrenched Truth,reconciliation and ultimately restorative justice.
Part of restorative justice is land re-distribution.The other part is money.
The UN supports this for indigenous peoples,not sure on how it will be applied to past slavery and its intergenerational effects in the USA.It seems a bit more complicated.

Four black county commissioners just voted to remove the Confederate monument in the county just north of me. The one white voted against. This vote is in clear violation of state law.
How is this not a hate crime?

Reverse it and say five whites voted to take down a civil rights statue.

I want reparations!, I'm pretty sure the Romans enslaved my people over 2,000 years ago...I got a lot of anxiety about it,......where do I send the paperwork?

My Scottish ancestors were enslaved and oppressed by the crown of england....Where is my reparation $$ for this injustice?

I feel so guilty should my norse viking self pay reparations to my Scots and English self or should my American self pay reparations to my Tory or Cherokee self?

A friend of mine, Mike, lives in Martinez. Today, we have been texting back and forth and he called me just a little bit ago. Our local news reported the "hate crime" at noon today. Mike said the woman that did the painting is connected to the courts and did not know blm had permission to paint the public roadway. The "mural" has already been repaired. The national news is reporting that there will be a huge protest in Martinez Sunday, with many different groups coming, including the group that destroyed parts of Minneapolis, Charlottesville and San Jose. Mike lives less than 2 miles from where the protests are supposed to be and heard nothing about it, before talking to me. He goes to the farmer's market, that the police chief of Martinez, says he can't protect from the protesters, almost every Sunday.

He thinks nothing will happen. I hope he is right. I told him to keep his guns ready and loaded.
