Nope, but you can charge a fee to make up for that.

There’s plenty to be worth getting them off the ranch. We have as many high fence ranch as we do free range around here. The ranch’s all feed protein year round. The coons are hitting these feeders by the dozens. A coon will eat and or waste 3 to 5 pounds of feed per night. Multiply that by a couple dozen coons and the rancher is loosing literally tons of feed per year. Once they under stand what they are saving by removing the coons They usually don’t mind paying a fair price.

I took some proble coon off my inlaws property a few summers ago. My wife had decided that summer in trapping season prep that she wanted to start putitng up the fur and working the fur shed side. totally awesome by the way. I caught three coon that first night and she was intent on using them to learn to skin coon on. Great spirit but she found out quick that summer coon skinning in the heat is a combination for a big mess. They are greasy as all get out in the summer for sure. She did learn though that it wasnt going to be as easy as the guys on the internet make it look while they skin their 3,000th coon lol. Un prime off season furs in general are not worth anything.

Just make sure that your allowed to take them out of season. We can here but have to have permission for Mr. Green pants before doing so and can not sell any part of the animal out of season.

Loyd I didnt notice you were in wyoming. we have some of the best trapping laws around in my opinion. Coons and coyotes year round no permit needed to trap is pretty cool. makes damage control predator work pretty easy to deal with really.

We have to have a permit. But I can take beaver, coon, red and grey fox, oppsums, skunks, coyotes, otter, mink, muskrat, bobcat. As long as its a nuisance.
