How far along were your tomatoes? This happened to me a few years ago. Mine were about 3ft or so just starting to set. The hail took them down to almost nothing but stems. I thought I would have to start over. I started looking for replacements even it was getting late to find any, and to late to start my own. In a couple of days they started to show new growth. I ended up having more tomatoes that year than ever.

The plants are three foot tall and have tomatoes up to about tennis ball size. They came out of it better than you would think they would have. I am sure they will be fine. The wind go about 90% of the apples about two weeks ago. So I did not even look at them. Beans have hole through the leaves. Its nothing new here. At least it didn't break any windows. One year I lost nine windows to hail.

I sure hope he garden works through the set back. I always try to look at positive side of things but hail i yet to find anything good to say about it.
