Here is a picture of my weight for chain drowners/ cables on my water line. It is a 13" rotor which weighs 25 lbs with an eye hook on top. I attached 10' of number 2 chain with a quick clip. My system goes really fast once on the water line - choose trap. attach chain, throw weight and anchor the top of the chain. This allows for a four day check in WI.

A heavy rotor makes a good drag for coon if you are around a yard. You can put a spring loaded plate or angle iron to hold a dog proof

What do you anchor the top (or bank) part of the chain with?

The chain has a swivel on the end which I use 24' of rebar.

Does anyone else run chain drowners with brake rotors? I started quite a few years ago doing this somewhat based off a thread here and just dont seem to see it much anymore. It works pretty good for me and in the ground i work is a lot easier than dragging rebar around or replacing cable all of the time.
