Ruffed Grouse, Nothing comes close.
To those of you voting otherwise, Have you ever had Ruffed Grouse? Yep, had it. Its great eats, but them ringnecks are right up there in my book too! .....and they're bigger

For you squirrel folks what is your preferred way to prepare?
I like grouse and ring necks but have plenty of squirrel areas to hunt to, just never did much.

I’ve never heard of a Canadian that eats squirrel. I’m sure there are a couple, but I think it’s an American thing.

Can’t really compare. Even prepared with a good recipe it’s all delicious and has its place and time. If spoiled or prepared poorly the best cut can be sawdust

Dave I like to keep it simple with squirrel. I par-boil until falling-off-the-bone tender then a quick browning in butter on hot cast iron. A pressure cooker should work good to take the place of par-boiling according to what I've read here on Tman. I don't have one...yet.
