Does anyone have suggestions on a price guide for antique/collector mouse and rat traps? Thanks in advance for any help.

Doug; Back when the internet was the internet ~ before it got sucked into the Mammon which is now, largely fb and such .....

David Drummond? From memory, I'm pretty sure that was his name? Went by the handle of " Mousetrap Boy ". He put out a couple of of books.

I dealt with his uncle. Found that guy okay. Just my own perception, of the time, of course.

But, yeah; I'd imagine any such works would give an astute man a basis to work from?

Mousetrapboy is Rick Cicciarelli. Not sure if I spelled that right. David Drummond put out a series of books that you can still get through North American Trap Collectors. While they are very informative they are not price guides. I am not aware of any accurate price guide for mouse traps.

Thank you, bigmac2. You're about dead right, of course wink

The name you give is a fair representation of what I remember of the uncle of Rick.

Was / isn't Dave Drummond a Brit? I think it's their shared, absolute obsession with mouse traps that got me mixing them up there.

There's also a little nugget about maybe one of them? Maybe some other generic trap collector? Anyway, Someone telling me they were moving into mouse traps, simply because ye could house a worldly collection in a chest of drawers! grin

Yes David Drummond was a Brit. He passed away a couple years ago. Rick's uncle is Jim Stewart. Both are extremely knowledgable when it comes to mouse traps. Collecting mouse traps isn't for everybody but the variety never ends.
