... a double step aider replaces one full stick so a man can get 4 sticks high with 3 ... also it puts the bottom of your 2nd stick over 8 foot high so all you have to do is pull your bottom stick and it’d be hard for someone else to hunt or steal your stand if you plan to hunt the spot again...

... figured I’d put this on here in case anybody cares lol

I didnt think ya'll had trees tall enough to need 4 sticks down there. Seriously though I have looked at that style set up myself.

East Texas has huge trees. Down here there isn't much but brush.

Rope ladders are handy for a lot of things and now add one more use

Is that retail or did you make it? Not a bad idea for public land. Had a cam chip stolen last year and worried same guy might take my lower step out of spite.

its how arborists get up trees. only need 75 feet of rope, a climb rated carabiner, a saddle/harness, and a throwball and mason line to pull the climbing rope up.

saddlehunter.com is a great resource for saddle hunting. If you still want to use hang ons, there's all kinds of tricks you can do with sticks you can find there.

I have never heard of such a tool. Thanks for starting this thread. I may look into procuring such a setup, and trying it, we will see.

It'll be interesting to hear if many of you guys use rope ladders this season.

A lot of people probably have that issue. I don't hear of people using such rope systems

Good idee'r

I went to big cable/locks and a dozen ladder stands. Steps and a lock-on I have 2 left

It's an age thing.

That’s what I use. Between a climber and a hang on with four steps. I bring it in on a deer dolly. I used to carry the stands on my back. But, not anymore.

Savell,
I'm impressed that you are keeping up with modern hunting tech. Now, get you and them boys 3 or 4 trail cameras.

And you'd really like a pellet grill to cook those cubed backtraps on also.

Do you leave the ladder stands up year round? It seems most people do
