The only money to be in selling dressed skins in my experience are skunks, and other skins that people can readily identify, and that don't have a high fur value anyway.
Skins like decent to high end cats, marten and things like that you will generally lose money after dressing costs, etc.
Beaver don't generally sell well either; but leave the top half of the tail on and they will sell fast. People can identify them that way, it adds something interesting, it's not just a round hunk of fur.

Well I got around to preforming the test that Waggler described and it wasn't good. These beautiful cats will have to spend the rest of there time as wall hangers. Kind of a shame but it was a wake up call in some aspects because I had no idea that this type of thing would/could happen. I'm going to put these and some other furs (fox) up on the "Trap shed" and see if there is any interest. Thanks to all for input, Griz

Flea markets great places to sell. People buy tanned fur for gifts, re-enacting events, kids rooms, etc

TILL THAT DAY.....
