Totally depends on what part of Canada and Alaska you are talking about. Western Canada is more like the interior of Alaska. I know a lot of Alaskan trappers. Gotten to know some quite well, and they are the best in the business. The environment we deal with is the same. Until you have spent months at a time alone, on a trapline so remote help of any kind is hours away by air ( when the weather is flyable) in temperatures that can drop down to -50 overnight, you cant claim to have grit! do unto others as you would have them do unto you www.grizzlycreeklodge.com
