Does anybody have experience trapping nutria? I live close the the gulf coast and saltwater marshes and was thinking of giving it a whirl. I guess bait sets like for muskrats would work?

I don't catch many but most of them are in runs set with body grips. Get them in coon sets with foot holds too. Not many where I trap - yet.

I strictly blind set for them. I have never had much success with bait. They're extremely easy to catch

If it makes a track on this earth , I can catch it.

I only found them in one drainage here ,back about 22 years ago. I eliminated them with blind sets, set on the main Runs of the drainage.
