Looks good, did they all have some rust or were there some that were new?

The longsprings had been rusted and dyed, the MB 750's didn't have much rust if any, they all did great. I did some new 1 1/2's and it worked great. The RBG's were not rusted and they look good too.

Flipper, I used a 1:1 paint/acetone, it has held up very well. Curious how 1:2 holds up? They do look great! Getting it done cheaper and drying faster a big plus too.

I checked the paint and seems to be like rustolium that has dried but is not sticky or tacky like if you painted with straight rustolium on the next day.

It seams like it is sticking well. I thought it would retard the rusting on water traps and they can always be redipped later. Seams like it will protect them well in the off season too. A surface that has a light coat of rust might hold the paint better than the smooth shiny metal. I have a couple dozen 220 Belisles i might dip too. I don't think it will clog things up, it is a nice light coating.

I don't remember the mix ratio but you all need to take a look at AKHowler's post on wilderness trapping and living he does about the same thing to his wolf traps .
Looking good compared to when I rattle can painted my conibear traps even with a coating of rust on them. Be sure to give us a update after you have made some catches . Allan
