There are many variables to consider when setting up your pricing structure. You can do a search (maybe 2 year) in the ADC forum for "pricing" or "charge" and you will get a wide variety of posts to view. This will cover many different types of animals, and may help you out as far as pricing for your services.

Here's a different view. Aiming for the middle by charging less than your best competitor is the surest route to mediocrity. Set and maintain high goals and standards and you will enjoy much greater personal success than your mediocre competition. Be the best competitor. Success comes from consistent customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction is not about price. Customer satisfaction is the result of creating the perception in the customer's mind that you are the very best at what you do and then following through by consistently delivering the very best service your customers have ever seen. Be the best and charge like it. Do that consistently and you can have the largest market share, charge the highest prices, earn the greatest profit and someday sooner than you ever imagined you can afford to enjoy a terrific retirement. Very well stated. Good post.

Ah, but I can be the best AND have the best price too! Imagine that, its easy if you try.
You may say that I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one.
Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can? No need for greed or hunger, a brotherhood of man. Imagine all the people sharing all the world.
You may say that I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will live as one You know just reading all that I figured you were from California. But those are probably lyrics froma song and not your own!

Steve, Price really only matters if the price asked is greater than the customer's perceived value of the service. And that is true no matter how high or how low the price is. If you can consistently create in the customer's mind the perception that the benefit they will receive from having you remove a raccoon is greater than the $5000 you are asking to do it then you could consistently charge that much and your would-be customers would gladly wait in line to be serviced. Good luck there. I'm good, just not that good, not yet anyway. Conversely, a wco can charge next to nothing while creating such negatives in the customer's mind that they will wish they had paid more to somebody else. It IS all about customer satisfaction that accrues from their having received a good value regardless of the price they paid to get it. And LATRANS - Maybe it's just me, but idealistic Beetles lyrics from trippy days gone by lose something of their shine when seen in the light of Paul McCartney's personal net worth of nearly half a billion dollars. No possessions indeed. Mike Dwyer, President Critter Control, Inc. Do they still have people that actually light crosses ? I thought that was a thing of the past. I guess I need to get out more. I was up in Northern Florida, in Alachua and Columbia counties two weeks ago and my son in law showed us homes with white cross's in the yard. He explained to me that it was now politically correct to use white Christmas lights now! Too many fire restrictions here in the south these days!

As far as I know, theres no one in my area that does nuisance animal control. You haven't been paying to much attention then. We have got a guy in your area right now. As for the rest of the state (central portion anyway) we have that covered as well.
