Anybody running nail jhooks in these? How’s it working for you? I make a few nail swivels and figured this combo would be easier.

Yep Furvor, I use 30d nails and a 3/16 stainless washer on my nail swivels. Super easy spinning. If I get time I’ll make one up tomorrow.

Yep I use the rod swivels on all my land traps with 30 D nail J hooks. I bend them with long necks with a Custer B2B bender. They self clean this way, every time they nock the slack out of the chain. The most important/functional swivel is attached to the D ring!
Common sense catches alot of fur.. Pay homage to all you harvest..

Rob I use both nail swivel and rod swivel with a 30 nail j hooks no washer seem to work fine for me. Reason I am going that way on traps is because I can use 30nail or heavy duty j hook . Crunch proof swivels 30 hooks are a bit tougher to make fit.

I also been putting a longer neck j hook at the base of the trap to help get swivel out from under the trap.

Hmm good point Lee. I use 1/4” quick links and they book right through a swivel nice and quick. Just stuck in my ways I guess.
