Ive recently watched a couple youtube videos and both the guys used toothpaste as a base... has anybody ever tried that before? If so how did it work?

toothpaste works by itself, don't mess with it

as long as its white and minty smelling!

Used it all the time many years ago and it worked great. Here in north east Pa. the muskrat has become extinct. There are very few places that have any let alone in any numbers. I can't believe we even have a season for them.

Foxpee.. thats a shame. Here in southern mn its kinda the same thing with pheasants. Unless you have a hunting club around that stocks pheasants for people to pay to shoot you really never see pheasants anymore. And the ones you see are all escaped pheasants. At least thats what ive noticed over the past 10-12 years. I feel like they need to shut down pheasant season for a few years and let the population grow again. That and the fox and coyotes here are around in big numbers. Cant wait for trapping season to open and harvest some coyotes and red fox!

Can't remember what brand, but used to use it when I was young in fact caught my 2&3 muskrat on it.
I can still hear mom saying we sure are going threw the tooth paste.
But it was a win win , they just figured we were bushong good. laugh

Let me sugar coat this

Pa,
The cheap apple, and other fruit shampoo works very well too. You can get them for a dollar at dollar stores. just a quick squirt on ground behind your traps
