What is your guys experiences with it? Its cheap and alot of old lure recipes call for it as a base, and it can dull down lures and baits that are too loud a well, so what do you think?

I have all kinds of home brewed lures in it. Seems to work just fine. I can't remember why I started using glycerin more. The old books did call for mineral oil a lot. My favorite for castor mound lures.
