I wonder if Petro is referring to petrolatum. If so i'd save the money and use petroleum jelly in staid. Much cheaper and easier to get. Some say it crust over but myself and others have had sucess in it using it as a lure base. I like it. I got a 4oz can of anise (1 tbsp) with PJ and its very powerful. I want to try it with fish oil, candle scent oils, peppermint oil, and maybe some sort of bacon grease mixture. I bet with SB or borax you could mix your animal parts together and then mix in hot petroleum jelly last to make a paste bait.

Not the same thing.Vaseline does seal in a lot of odor.I have used it,many years ago but wouldn't now.
