Here’s a video I made to show a cable anchor I use at some bridge walls that have relief joints.

Great Idea.

Back In the day when I ran a major mink line I just took a Hilti gun from work and shot In a threaded anchor In either the concrete bridge walls or Into steel culverts. The only problem with that Is I couldn't get the anchor point under water.

I’m not familiar with what you are talking about but I’ll google them.

Just curious what keeps the washer from going flat back against the stop while trying to pound it in? Seems it would be very difficult to drive in if that happened. I have used other type cable stakes but they are all designed so the washer or whatever is on that end is held on edge by the driver and only after the driver is removed it can toggle flat in the ground. Help me understand, It sure would be easy to build that driver and anchor system.

Holding pressure on the cable seems to keep it from turning. When pounding it into the joint it can’t turn because it’s so narrow.

I’ve never tried these anywhere but in the joints or in swamp muck. They might not work well in harder ground.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound critical. just wondering as I've never tried them. Getting them through the crack and turned flat behind it would be good enough. We have a few culverts like that and they have that crack across the bottom too in that same area. I've used conduit cable stakes with success in them, same idea but different. lol
