We have them all over around here. Have a family living right above my outdoor wood burner.

Flying squirrels are my favorite animal to control.
Colony traps work better with them than any other animal. They are calm, and can be handled by hand with out breaking the skin. We usually try to relocate. They're aren't a ton around here.
