Unless you’re a good mechanic with access to cheap parts from a junkyard and lots of spare time that’s a bad idea.

Used vehicle prices are currently insane. 3k wont even get you much any more. I have been looking for 2 months now. Exactly, a local dealer has 1988 Chevy 3/4 ton with 60k on the clock. They want 7500 plus tax and title amd whatever other hidden fees. I dont think they understand its a 32 year old truck mileage doesnt matter and its not a classic/hotrod.

When you buy cheap things, you usually get cheap things. This is usually true but there are exceptions. A good mechanic can find a broken down car for a couple hundred bucks and knowing it’s a simple fix turn it into a good vehicle. Example, my dad has been a mechanic his whole life. The car I drove all through high school was one that he traded a set of bronco headlights for because the owner couldn’t get it running. Dad knew what the problem was, got a junkyard part and I drove that car for years.

The only time I bought used vehicles was when I knew the owner and vehicle and knew how it was driven and maintained.

The only time I bought used vehicles was when I knew the owner and vehicle and knew how it was driven and maintained. I have a cousin that bought a nice Cadillac from an old gentleman one time. The old fella insisted on seeing my cousins current car to make sure he took care of it - otherwise no deal. That's the kind of guy you want to buy a used car from.

Become a trapping supply dealer and drive $70,000 trucks and $20,000 buggies would be my suggestion. It's easy. You can ask anybody.

Dave, you should try the wheelbarrow idea. Other than basic lubrication and clean up, it should be low maintenance. Maybe you could look for a wheelbarrow with a lifetime warranty.

It’s hard to find a decent used running ATV for $500 much easier to find a truck than an ATV here since we made atv legal on all but the state highway it is what people drive all summer a friend had a Yamaha mule and wore it out on his farm he bought a jeep to replace it for less than the transition fix on the mule
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Thinking a good idea if csn find pickuo for under or $500 about that hopefully not need spend much on repairs , to use as road trapping pickuo when roads are good, save pickup drive now instead all abuse. Anyone know any good online site. In area? ...500.00. ?????? It’s not 1974 anymore....
