My wife declared war on the voles in her garden and flower beds. I’ve been putting them in baggies and freezing them. I thought I’d try them in some of my coyote sets. Has anyone compared voles to mice as coyote bait. Kinda fun running a trapline for the little buggers.

Caught 95 in mice traps in my yard so far since August. Both in peanut baited and blind sets.

What anchoring system are you using Grandpa ?

I’m pretty sure that fox and coyotes will eat them just fine .

The guy I work with has yard cats and he claims those cats will not eat a vole . They bring them up to the house and lay them on the sidewalk .

Voles are a favorite food for coyotes and fox. Lots of different sub species in many geographies. Google it.

Common sense catches alot of fur..
Pay homage to all you harvest..

Meadow voles will also girdle young trees...
especially fruit trees, injuring or possibly killing them.
Everything will snack on a vole. Moles...not so much in my
experience.
