I’m curious if any of the attractors that trappers use for bobcats deter other predators. It seems like some of the flashier things like tensil or cds may spook coyotes and fox.

Trappers in the north will use flagging on occasion to get the attention of wolves. This is used on the shore of a frozen lake when it is known that wolves cross the lake in winter.A white plastic bag flapping in the wind up against a background of black spruce will catch their attention from quite a distance.
Flagging can be used as a diverter on a trail for wolves also to get them to go where you want.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I made a flashy double dirthole set with the trap set dead center and back about 10” with a turkey wing feather fluttering in the breeze about 3ft off the deck and never caught the first cat...but did catch two coyotes, lol.

That’s funny, I haven’t tried flagging at all yet but I’m going to hang a single Turkey feather at a few places tomorrow. I doubt that would spook anything much but the cd and tinsel I could see making coyotes wary.
