1890 Winchester

Model 12c Remington is my guess.

.22 ?

Not intimately acquainted with them but I think it's a Winchester and I'd love to get my hands on one.

Could it be 1906 Winchester? Only they're supposed to have round barrel. This is hexagon.

It's listed as a 1906 but maybe had a left-over barrel from an 1890 put on it? Or two guns pieced together. I'm just really curious.

The 06 had a flat butt plate.

I have a model 1906 Winchester rifle. It was the first rifle I had. I purchased it for $10 from a neighbor in Pratt, Kansas in1952 . It was well used when I purchased it. One thing that I like about it is that the tube can be loaded with shorts, longs, and long rifle cartridges. I have no idea of how many bricks of shells I shot out of it. Shells were very cheap back then.

Mine is a .22 short, but yes, Win did produced other .22 cals. in that model.

If it's a .22 WRF in good shape, figure on spending $1500 for it. Dad bought his during the depression for $15.00. It has made more meat than most center fire rifles , and it's an absolute tack driver

Rem 12's do not have an exposed hammer.

Well I'll put my hands on it in the morning and know fer sure what it is.

We have one at the house that's identical and it's a rossiade in brazil doesn't have a model.

I had a new 1906 but sold it so no photographs available, except this one I found online. Mine looked like this:

The Winchester Model 1906 was designed as a more inexpensive companion to the popular Model 1890, the main differences being the 1906's flat shotgun-style butt plate and rounded barrel, as opposed to the 1890s crescent butt plate and octagon barrel.
