cornhuskerman OP trapper Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 181 valentine, NE	With the 2020 and 2021 fur prices looking to be a dismal . I have decided I would like to use some of my pelts for trying my hand at making my own fur garmets. I am curious if anyone has any experience doing this or any resources to read. Anything I try to Google just has to do with the fashion industry.... I will most likely have a variety of pelts. Lots of coon some muskrats and coyotes and hopefully a few beaver . IF you want to learn the basics a couple week course thru a college will get you started on the right track-learn about pelt repair,matching skins,blocking,and how to use a fur sewing machine,and hand finishing. The previous NAFA fur school is now being offered by George Brown college in Toronto by fur designer Farley Chatto. Last edited by Boco; 11/08/20 04:10 PM. I’m hoping to make a blanket and I’m thinking I’ll have enough fur after this season. I’m hoping that it will be easier than something you would wear. Sorry Bob,It is not at George Brown College it is at Ryerson University Toronto. Google fur design course -Ryerson and it should come up. I dont know how to do the link.
