Thank you. I would probably just end up taking a teaspoon per day... No way I'd ever remember to do something every other day.

May have to make some new additions to the garden this year if I can find the time to even plant one.

Yes sir.

Those things can be bought fresh , farmer's markets , local grocery outlets, even online too. I don't have the time either for garden, much as I love them. Maybe at some future time.

As often as you recall or want to, nothing is written in stone . Until you get used to it, you can easily dilute it in some other liquid, or have a chaser to drink. Even a straw will enable swallowing with very little residue felt in your mouth...though , under the tongue is immediate absorption . After it has infused for a few weeks in the ACV, it really does mellow out in heat , when you consider the type peppers and horseradish used. A small amount in the beginning sure wont hurt !

Thanks for the recipe! Loaded up a bottle yesterday & had a tbls this morning before I broke fast & it was snappy! I don't see any of those ingredients going to waste after I strain it off either.

I think it would make a great salad dressing.

Good stuff, Bob ! After it infuses for a couple weeks or more, it really does mellow out and isn't as hot as what it would seem to be. Yes it still is "snappy " grin but not impossible to take , especially in those small amounts, and with the options of mixing in something else , or with a chaser drink.

If it was so impossible , no one would be able to benefit from it's multitude of nutrients , immune building and pathogen killing properties.

Nightlife, it sure could be the same thing , just make sure it steeps in the ACV for two weeks -or more. Sources vary on that -some say six weeks, others less. I'd say, at least two.

TW, Ha ! Well I hope you never need to worry about anything like that !

UpstateNY, you bet those strained herbs would make great dressing. They can be used in small amounts combined with your favorite liquid ingredients for a wonderful dressing- marinade, or meat and veggie seasoning.

Well I got more ACV and filled my jars full. With a quick stir to mix every day, they will infuse for the next couple weeks or so. You can see how the herbs tend to float for now, showing the empty space below of ACV . Stirring keeps them all saturated .

The good thing of making a lot, is that it is used over time, remains good on the shelf , and if a friend becomes sick, you have extra to spare to help them.

Have a look at this beauty of a spoon I found - made of olive wood ! Just gorgeous. Every spoon and spatula in the store was patterned that way.

I suppose stainless utensils wouldn't hurt the mix, or plastic, I just love wood for these things.

TT, yes that is the name for it when honey is added. Honey does have great properties , too. I've never tried it with honey , but it sounds good.

Les, "on the edge" has added meaning these days !

I don't know if I'll get to making some, but I would not be opposed to trying it, lol. The ingredients sound good, and passageway clearing.

Our little newspaper has a column about what was happening 100 years ago and that is when the Spanish flue was rampant around here. One lady related that her Grandmother would ride her horse across the section to her neighbors that were sick with the flu and leave supplies on the front porch and would pick up a list of anything that was needed. This family lost the husband and a daughter to the flu, the mother and a couple of kids survived due to the kindness of the neighbor lady. The lady also said her Grandmother would make them take " vinegar water" every night, a tablespoon of vinegar to 8 oz. of water, the kids hated it but they didn't get the flu either. Didn't know if it helped but it sure didn't hurt.

I wanted to bump this post up and thank Sharon. This is good stuff! I made a big batch back in March after reading Sharon's post. It made 4 or 5 quart jars, which I stuck in the back of a pantry cabinet and forgot about for about 6 weeks.
The only thing I did differently than Sharon is I didn't strain it all out after 6 weeks. I just open one jar at a time as needed and leave the rest soaking. As a result I think my second jar was a little more potent than the first, but after that it seems to have plateaued. I've spent the last 8 months drinking it whenever I start feeling a little ill, like Sharon described. My wife and kids use it too. To get the kids to drink it, mixing with some elderberry syrup seems to work the best. With just a little tonic and some elderberry syrup in water, it makes a nice drink that the kids like. I usually just cut it with water. My kids call it "fire water."

Right now we all have covid. Wife and daughter tested positive on Saturday. It's been just like an irritating cold for us, except we lost taste and smell. We've been hitting it with a blitz of vitamin & mineral supplements, plenty of fruits and veggies, elderberry, and Master Tonic. The Master Tonic is the most tangible, immediate difference I can discern. It's incredible. Just a few minutes ago I was laying in bed with my nose and sinuses all stuffed up, and got the urge to go drink some tonic, since I haven't since this morning. I had to open and strain a new jar since my wife finished the last one today. First thing I did when I opened the jar was take a big whiff. Even though I can't smell, I could feel it start to break the congestion. It's potent! I strained a few oz into a glass, added water and sipped it over a couple minutes. By the time I walked back to bed I could breathe through my nose again, and it's continued to improve for the last 20 minutes even laying on my back. Half an hour ago I was breathing through my mouth and getting worse. Now my nasal passages are clear and getting better. Only difference, Master Tonic.

It really is incredible stuff. If you don't have a batch already, get you some. Thanks again Sharon.

Don’t know how I missed this but glad you brought it back Kenaikid! Interesting to say the least.

Sharon thanks a million for posting that. Really appreciated and I plan on making some in the near future.

Thanks Sharon 2 years ago one of my hurricane roommates was breaking out in hives where ever he got bit by mosquitoes and as of last week so am I. If I show this to our other roommate who is big on homeopathic and natural healing she will prolly make some up for us. She twisted her ankle so I've been climbing her roofs as well as my own.

Thank you for this great post! We have used a version of this in the past along with other natural remedies including elderberry syrup. They worked wonderfully. I will be making a batch of this remedy this weekend. Stay healthy everyone

Kenai K, I am so sorry you and yours are dealing with that China virus. Your meals sound like a great plan and I'm glad the Fire Water helps !

I remember when our President got it, they watched him closely for the next few days. Just to follow through. Cant recall the amount of days, but it was just a few.

When you have those whom are loved more than life itself, the motive to want to help them with all your strength and with things that work is of prime importance. What is so great is that I haven't heard of anyone who hasn't been able to take it, there could surely be, I just haven't heard.

I take a couple tablespoons each day...to keep my immune system built up . If I feel "off", I take more. There is no rigid amount, can take what you want or feel you need.

I wish you all speedy recovery .

You can handle it, Hoss ! Texans can do this easy .... cute video, Crit-R-Dun
