I've found clean skinning beaver much quicker than rough skinning them but I had plenty of practice back when the market for them was good yes I know I just gave away my age ha ha
As for a knife to use my favorite is still the Stockman 80T Oldtimer knife I've never gotten the hang of those round bladed knives . Allan

Even at my advanced age I can rough skin a beaver In about 5 min. And It takes me about 12 min to flesh one. I'm going to keep doing It like I'm doing.

Keep at it,you're getting there. Lol. I was having a contest to see how fast I could just skin one. I won. But I was the only one skinning. 9 minutes. Lol.

^^^ Yes that is a nice looking beaver knife, what kind is it? Thats a John of Henry knife. Pipe welder on here....his dad makes them. Real nice. But Lee Steinmeyer makes some nice pelters. Lol.
