Many threads on here about digger coyotes. I would say 99% + of the time the culprit is coon. Bedding really solid can help, but sooner or later you will run into something. Heavy pan tension on this MB 650 helped avoid a catch. I have seen this many times throughout the year. This is the reason I try to avoid these spots when possible.

Yup coons get me! I think it was easier on my ego to blame some old educated coyote.

I usually find mine flipped over and not set off, always makes me smile and think coon.


Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Ye, those coons and deer are a problem especially in the warm weather. At current coon prices i would rather have the drag it out than get caught! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Yes that is a familiar sight for me in our area. It would be great as adept as they are at flipping and bringing out traps if they would re-set them for us!
