Well I regained my composure, set the dam again and caught him Friday. I think deeper and more sticks was the answer, thank y'all a bunch for the help and the fun conversation.

I could be wrong but I think it is some wacko idea to try to use a bodygip as a leghold.

Its either a foothold support or the SOB set(4ft 2x6 with footholds covering the entirety of it).
