After watching the video from coon duke, I got to thinking. In the past I’ve pretty much only saved anal and hock glands. What other glands/ organs do you experienced guys save if you are trying to make a gland lure? Are some better than others? Im asking for reds and coyotes. Thanks for any input!

I've had good luck grinding up small batches of fresh coyote/fox pads with small amount of mink/weasel scent

It’s in our Archives and his book.

I saved it yrs ago but think it’s stuck in our old puter.

If you have a YouTube account you can access 18yr+ content. There are some decent videos showing where the various glands are, if you do some digging around to find a good video. I played it step by step pulling the glands a few times, then with just a paper list. After about 5 coyotes you will have it down. Also, once you figure out what the lymph node tissue looks and feels like compared to the fat and such, you will become MUCH faster at finding and pulling the glands.

Good clean cut glands are in demand, that said find a buyer and ask what and how they want them.
I've bought some on fur sales and off trap shed.
That got pitched , said to say a crook or just that stupid.
Oh well cost of being trusting, I love it when they come back thinking I'm gonna buy them again. laugh
Use them your self, it's fun to catch critters with lures you make.

Let me sugar coat this

Agreed with making use of them yourself. This is the first season I am using a home made lure of my own (found the recipe on here somewhere, got the ingredients and mixed) and it has been working very well. I trapped 11 of the 16 coyotes I have this season on it.

Any of you folks think it is worth the time to keep the male glands separated from the female glands ?

I quit fooling with coyote glands. I use quality pee instead. I use cat gland sometimes at coyote sets. I use it at every cat set. Red fox glands are good at Coyote Cat and Fox sets. IMO
