I caught this fox a few years ago, and discovered this coming out of the skull. Sent in to Fish and Game, but never heard back from them. Anyone ever seen something like this?

Looks like a massive black head/clogged pore. Did it result in a hole in the fur?

It's pretty disgusting regardless.
Reminds me of the time a friend and I were trapping beaver. We had a large one laying in on the tailgate and my friend noticed a large bump on it's hind foot. He started to squeeze it between his thumb and forefinger, I knew what it was. Before I had the time to yell STOP, he had a face full of yellowish-green puss.
Both of us almost puked.
