I've used them for beaver. I prefer using a Jake trap over either the MB750 or MB650 but they all do the work. All with rubber jaws here.

I use my 650s, is it an ideal beaver trap? Nope they have an OS, imo today's trappers fail to notice the numbers caught before 750s and 8.5" traps become the new normal, many beavers have fallen to #2 and #3 traps no OS on drowning rigs, I don't even re rig my 650s on coyote drags long chained beaver have always been there waiting for me on pre hooked drags

Yes they will work. I normally use MB750's but 650's will also get the job done.
